Timothy Owen
Timothy is an Android and Back-end software engineer, who loves working with Java and Python. He has been building tech communities since 2017, volunteering for Andela Learning Community as a program assistant for the Facebook DevC Training and Google Africa Developer Scholarship programs. While at the university, he pioneered the Google Developer Student Club and Ingressive Campus Developers Club. He loves code, tech communities, and food. He is also enthusiastic about Site Reliability Engineering and Machine Learning.

Description

This course will get you up to speed with building android applications. You will learn all the android cycles and frameworks to get you started with building and solving problems using applications. By the end of the course, you will be able to build apps that store data, access the internet, writing great UI for users, connecting to APIs, coding backend, and many more.

The android world is now running on tablets, smart cars, TVs, and watches. You will be able to use the skills in building apps that will run on these devices. You will be advancing your skills by building core android apps and progressing by building their complexity. With our proper project-based learning method, you will be able to build apps that meet the (Minimal Viable Product ) MVP for clients and users.


Prerequisites and requirements:

  • Familiarity with Java  is a plus (We have a course on this)

  • Powerful laptop/Computer  to run Android studio (6+GB of RAM )

  • Android studio installation (Guided on the course)

  • Good Internet Connection for installation of Android studio and Emulator
