Description

Business Communication is an indispensable part of the business world. Among other things it gives the first impression of the candidate (cover letter) and lands one a job (job interview), molds business relationships (socializing in business), seals contract deals (negotiations) and sells products and services (persuasion). It is inevitable to master the skill at a level which is sufficient to actively participate in the business communication process, build and maintain a professional network and secure oneself consecutive contracts. This course will prepare you for all of the above and more. You will be able to control the communication process, use and resist persuasion techniques, give and receive goodwill messages, socialize in business situations, overcome communication barriers, anticipate and deal with cultural differences in terms of communication, structure a presentation, write a cover letter, present information in the form of an infographic, clarify things, address problems and suggest solutions, give and receive negative messages and communicate during meetings.  

Students will learn to control the communication process, using and resisting persuasion techniques, giving and receiving goodwill messages, how to socialize in business situations, how to overcome communication barriers, how to anticipate and deal with cultural differences in term of communication, how to structure a presentation, how to write a cover letter, how to present information in the form of an infographic, how to clarify things, how to address problems and suggest solutions, how to give and receive negative messages, how to communicate during meetings.
